Hylaeosaurus - the family dinosaur

Many thanks to Helen Hiley for this post, intended to raise a smile in this time of isolation.

The Hylaeosaurus (HIGH-lee-oh-saur-us, or HILEY-oh-saur-us) lived in England in the early Cretaceous period, 150-135 million years ago.

The name means 'woodland lizard'. It was a plant-eating 'armoured dinosaur' with a length of about 5 metres.
