Sam Hiley
Sam was the oldest child of Harold and Ethel Hiley, and brother to

At some time between April 1911 and December 1913 Harold, Ethel and Sam moved to 72 Victoria Street in Littleborough. Although a distance of only about four miles this must have seemed like a big move. All the previous four generations had lived their whole lives in Walsden or Todmorden and never left that area.
